The MultiPurpose Gaiters can be used with all Scootboot styles to give added security and protection for the pastern and heel bulb area. Providing a secure fit with or without Mud Straps, the MultiPurpose Gaiters are made from premium waterproof material that moulds to the shape of the heel bulb.

Note - The MultiPurpose Gaiters are not suitable for sensitive skin horses or for turnout.

Scoot Boots Customer Service was wonderful, and responsive, after my mixed review. They let me know that they have addressed the stitching issue, with stronger stress points. The improved gaiters are visibly better, and I’m confident that they will last a reasonable amount of time. These gaiters make the use of Scoot Boots much easier! We’ve been able to use our Enduros without mud straps, and they stay on, using them under the same conditions. I do use the Scoot Boots front shims in all four boots, as my TWH “mashes taters” with each step, and any footwear tends to twist on him. I love everything about Scoot Boots and the multi purpose gaiters, and highly recommend them!

Fixed boot movement issues

One out of four boots kept twisting around, the all purpose gaiters fixed this issue. They’re link - so look great as well :)

5 Stars for ease of use and protection. 1 Star for quality

These All Purpose Gaiters have been a wonderful addition to Scoot Boots! I’m able to use them without the mud straps on his Enduros, making it SOOO much easier to put them on and take them off! They have multiple layers of Velcro, so they stay on, (we actually lost a boot in the mud but the gaiter stayed on). Unfortunately, the quality is not good. The stitching holding the Velcro started coming apart on our first trail ride, which was an easy, walking ride. The cloth edging wears through after very little use, causing wear on the gaiter material. While I love the ease of these gaiters for me, and the comfort and protection for him, I’m very disappointed at the quality for the cost. I hope Scoot Boot can improve these gaiters!

All Purpose Gaiters

The best yet. I've used Scoot Boots for almost 10 years now and these gaiters are the best yet. I'm hoping that I won't need mud straps, the new gaiters are so good.

Falling apart after less than 2 months

The gaiters have really helped the scoot boots stay in place with no runs but they are beginning to come apart. I feel they are cheaply made a d do not with stand the demands of being in a horse’s hooves. I ride trails for pleasure and have not done any type of demanding riding that would cause this type of wear and tear. I wish these were made better.
