Guêtres hybrides

My horse was constantly stepping on his hind feet and popping off his back shoes… I tried several types of “slippers” etc. …. he is a large horse so finding the right size was very difficult… until I found the scoot boots in size 11! They are easy to put on/off and stay on! They are working beautifully and I am relieved!! Totally recommend these boots!

The hybrid gaiters do prevent the rubbing of heel rubs on my sensitive skin mare, but the super glue application requirement is not great and I've had to repeat that process for 2 of the boots. The hybrid gaiters make the boots more challenging to put on because they do not wrap around the boot which would be my preference. I have to use mud straps, and the collars on the new mud straps are too small. I have used Scoots for years but am considering trying another brand.

Easy to secure in the boot. Less bulky than the endurance gaiters and no rubs on my horse's feet. Will definitely get them again.

I found the difficult to get boot on, gaiters slid down into the boot, was fiddling around to get on, then glue let go struggled to get them back on after that.

They slipped around too much so I modified them with Velcro on the outside of the boots to fasten the flap. Then sewing the slit to the bottom. Now they fit snug and don’t slide out of place.
