The Anti Slip Shims are constructed of a specifically formulated non-slip material that is inserted into the front of the Scootboot between the hoof and the boot.

  • Provide extra security when the hoof gets wet and slippery; and
  • Act as a filler providing a firmer fit when the hoof is in between sizes or the hoof has shrunk in dry conditions.
Anti Slip Shims can simply be removed when not needed.

They help with fit. But I am not a fan of pushing the horses toe back making for a longer break over at the toe. I would prefer a shim that slots in the sides. I love my scoot boots. In particular the enduros.

Anti-slip shims

I have been working with the experts at Scoot Boots to remedy a front boot which kept twisting due to my mares hoof shape. The shims were a great solution, and the twisting is no longer a problem! I have always had great customer service from this company!

They are perfect and help the fitting of the boot

These shims are great to adjust the fit of your boots if your horse is just slightly off fit wise or at the start of a trim to fill in that extra space. Mine have never moved an inch.
